Kaspersky - Easy to install January 9, 2010 Mrs. J. S. Benton I bought this make of Internet Sercurity as I already have it on my main pc and this product can be used on 3 pcs, which makes this product a bargain pricewise.
It was easy to install and have had no problem with it workwise.
Computer Security December 29, 2009 John Phillips (Northumberland) From all the choices on the market, I find this is the best one for me and covers all my needs
cheap & cheerful December 28, 2009 Mr. K. M. Nicholls (Somerset,UK) If you only want to be sure of internet security then this product is good and cheap and available for 3 machines. If you want more then go for something more sophisticated (eg Norton)
The product is fairly easy to install. The default settings seem to work well. It keeps a good eye on your activity and offers many opportunities to check new items and keep current items safe. Compared to Norton it is a bit lacking in computer management tools but is much cheaper and does the job of internet security fairly well.
On the downside (1) I had to turn off the Kaspersky firewall to transfer files to and from other computers on my home network. (2) The virus database and software is always 'out of date' and needing upgrading. This hogs the processor and on my slow XP machine a pain....my newer faster Vista machine is mostly ok (3) Full scans also grab all the processor power and disk activity..on either machine (4) I turned off internet access using Kaspersky for some serious home network activity....It took me a long time to work out how to turn it back on (several hours). The main problem is you have an internet icon...you disable it..and it dissappears! so how do you enable it! Later I decided for the future I would just pull out the internet connection plug to save all the problems!
Excellent. December 16, 2009 Mr. T. E. M. Jasper (Berkshire, England) I'm a big fan of Kaspersky, having had poor experiences with Norton and McAfee.
It's worth noting that some users have suffered major slow-downs with the 2010 version, often resulting from traces of previous Norton installs - see their website and customer forums.
For money saving, be aware that users of 2009 product can upgrade for free to latest versions... therefore, purchasing this from A-Book-In-Hand made for a fantastic saving over both the 2010 version and Kaspersky's license renewal discounts.
Excellent delivery December 2, 2009 Rajasekaran I have received the package on the next day & it's well before the delivery date specified in the web page.
