 Handy to see how much you walk in a day March 9, 2010

This tool is pretty handy and small enough to fit into your jean pocket. Have not tried it in my handbag yet so not sure if that works.
Have used it and its good to see how much you walk around in a day but not so good if you are working from home alot as you don't get to walk that much.
It keeps 7 days of data but shame you can't transfer the results to PC. If you want to keep a record then you have to jot it down.

I bought the Omron Walker after a recommendation from a friend. Once I had worked out how to set it up, I found it a real incentive to keep me walking, Its quit robust and easy to read. I would recommend it to any one who wants to do more exercise, its nice to see how far you have gone & how many calories used.

Fairly easy to set up.
It does not pick up all steps, maybe because I tend to stroll sometimes, rather than walk fast, but at least it reads under rather then over as some pedometers I tried in the past.
Clip is not perfect in that if I do a lot of bending & twisting it tends to jump off when I'm at work. Otherwise its okay when I'm out walking socially.
Have noticed that it records steps the other way up anyway, not as accurately but at least its recorded them.
Overall its very good for the price & it should give a good idea of how much walking, normally as well as aerobically, that I do, as well as the distance and kcal (including grams).

well, along with my newly purchased sketchers, i have tried walking everyday. the product is quite chunky, but i love that you can review the week and perhaps detect a pattern. also appreciate the safety chain, because it can work itself free.
overall - a good investment.
