Overpriced by comparison...December 26, 2008 M. Patterson(Birmingham) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got one of these as an xmas present. Picture quality is a bit disappointing and pixelated and the transition from picture to picture is a bit naff. At 7" it is the minimum size it could be. Build quality seems good and it looks quite attractive. Probably could buy a 9" with better picture quality for the same money.
A great little frame!December 23, 2008 Ria B(Norfolk, UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this frame for my mum for christmas. I was a little worried about buying one after reading all the different reviews for other frames. Some were good, others not so good. Did quite a lot of research on other brands and in the end plumped for this one. I'm so glad I did! It is SOOOOOOOO easy to use and it looks really nice. I also bought a 2GB card for it and this holds hundreds of photos. As my mum is not technically minded at all this frame is spot on for her - once it's set up (which is so simple to do) that's it! All she has to do is turn it on! A Great buy, great to use and great to look at - now I want one too!
Do not waste your time buying this productDecember 11, 2008 Reivick Giuliani(London, UK) 8 out of 12 found this review helpful
I got this digital photo frame at the same time of another less famous brand -the latter for half the price!- and was surprised about the low quality of the Phillips one. You can actually see the pixels in the pictures and the images get distorted in the screen (sometimes too wide or too narrow).
I tried the exact same pictures on the other product and they looked OK, full of color, no pixels on sight and the photos looked just the way they did in my computer.
Thankfully, I asked beforehand if I could return any of the products and that is exactly what I am doing tomorrow. Plus, the way the product look isn't great, it is very small and it doesn't look sophisticated at all. And in case you need to use a USB port, it will horribly stick out of the frame.
The only good thing is that the navigation is very intuitive. You in fact don't need to read the instructions. But what is the whole point if the pictures will look bad anyway???
very good for the moneyDecember 10, 2008 G. Koch(UK (south)) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
nice looking frame from a well known manufacturer, picture quality is very good on the 7inch frame, nice black surrounding and easy to use buttons on the rear.... i ended up buying 3 of these for xmas presents this year (one to myself) can take a variety of memory card up to 4gb (i think). also has side slot for usb memory sticks.
the only downside is the menu can be a little slow when deleting photos.
Not bad, but several issuesDecember 4, 2008 Mr. D. Wainwright(Leicester, UK) 54 out of 58 found this review helpful
This product works ok, but potential buyers should be aware of these issues:
1. The auto-orientation feature does not seem to work at all, despite me checking that it is enabled and resaving the settings several times. All of my portrait photos were displayed on their side. Maybe I've not set it up correctly.
2. There should be more photo alignment choices. The auto-fit option flattens standard photos quite a lot, while the other options leave space on either side of the photo. I think it could do with auto-fit vertical and auto-fit horizontal features to remedy this.
